Pelvic Health and Lymphedema Physical Therapists

We are seeking an independent, self-motivated, and compassionate Physical Therapist with experience in Pelvic Floor therapy. Therapist will be working with a wonderful team of outpatient Orthopedic PTs with a wide range of specialties. Among them is Elizabeth Makous, MSPT, CLT, PRPC, CES the Pelvic Floor and Lymphedema Program Coordinator, who has over 26 years of pelvic floor and chronic pain rehabilitation experience as well as 16 of those also focusing on treating complicated lymphedema/edema issues. The Henry Mayo Outpatient Physical Therapy department continues to grow and expand. We are an eleven private treatment room facility within and connected to the Henry Mayo Fitness Center. Our team has a strong referral base for patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions and specialized edema patients. We are in an exciting environment where we can coordinate care with local Henry Mayo, UCLA, City of Hope, and Facey doctors and nurses as well as Cedars, USC, and hospitals as far as Bakersfield. We can also provide a wide range of exercise and health programs to our patients at our fully equipped Fitness and Health Center. The Henry Mayo team is passionate about providing the best possible care to our patients! We regularly share knowledge and experience as well as host continuing education seminars. We are also committed to providing state of the art equipment for therapy including cold laser and Physiotouch.

We are looking for a part or full time experienced Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist that has the desire to expand their knowledge base and share in our vision. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
* Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required. Evaluate, care for and direct treatment for patients.
* Maintain and grow relationships with MD and non-MD referral sources
* Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
* Identify and document goals, anticipated progress and plans for re-evaluation.
* Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
* Provide patients with a meaningful rehab experience utilizing excellent clinical skills and customer service. Education and Experience
* Must have a current Physical Therapy Professional License from the State of California
* Must have a current CPR
* Prior clinical experience and a desire to learn is a must. 
 The applicant should have or at least desires to work toward a Pelvic Floor Certification.
