Pelvic Physical Therapist - EMH Physical Therapy (New York City, NY)

NYC Pelvic Physical Therapist EMH Physical Therapy is a well-established, PT-owned pelvic/ortho and chronic pain specialty practice located on the Upper East Side of NYC. Eighty percent of our female/male patients present with pelvic floor diagnoses including IC, IBS, Endometriosis, Pudendal Neuralgia, Bladder Pain, Prostatitis, Chronic Pelvic Pain and more. Twenty percent are chronic pain and youth athletes with sports/orthopedic injuries.

What makes EMH special?

  1. Each patient receives an hour evaluation and 50-minute individualized treatment session by a licensed DPT. We do not use PTA’s or aides.
  2. We teach pain neuroscience education and have a biopsychosocial approach while providing manual, biofeedback, and exercise therapies. Evidence-based techniques such as breathing, positive affect training, graded motor imagery are integral to our patient care.
  3. Ongoing mentorship and continuing education provided for staff DPT
  4. We are integrative with other healthcare practitioners who provide services such as nutritional counseling, acupuncture and psychological therapies for whole person healing.

Pelvic Physical Therapist Candidates must be a licensed PT in New York State, has a strong interest in both orthopedics and pelvic specilties and has taken 1 introductory pelvic health course with either the APTA or Herman & Wallace. Additional pelvic courses and prior mentorship training are highly valued.
