Nerves and the Nervous System Courses

Pudendal Neuralgia and Nerve Entrapment

This course is designed to provide a thorough overview of evaluating and treating patients with pudendal dysfunction, including neuropathy, neuralgia, and entrapment.

Oncology of the Pelvic Floor Level 2A

This course focuses on male pelvic cancers, colorectal cancer, and anal cancer including risk factors, diagnosis, and prognosis. The participant will also understand the sequelae of the medical treatment of cancer and how this can impact a patient’s body and their quality of life.

Oncology of the Pelvic Floor Level 2B

This course focuses on gynecological and bladder cancers including risk factors, diagnosis, and prognosis. The participant will also understand the sequelae of the medical treatment of cancer and how this can impact a patient’s body and their quality of life.

Evaluation and Treatment
This course presents problem-solving assessments for the major contributory nerves from the sacral plexus to the pelvis in an organized, systematic fashion. Peripheral sacral plexus nerves included in this course are (sciatic, superior and inferior gluteal, coccygeal nerves, inferior dural tube, pudendal nerve, dorsal clitoral/penile branch, perineal branch, and inferior rectal or hemorrhoidal nerves), which run anterior to the sacrum and coccyx. This course will cover extensive anatomy, differential diagnosis, a
and objective findings for specific nerves of the sacral plexus.

Prerequisites: Pelvic Function Level 1 & Pelvic Function Level 2A
This course presents extensive anatomy and differential diagnosis and objective findings for specific nerves of the sacral plexus. Students can expect a review of pelvic neural anatomy, multi-disciplinary treatments, and an integrative approach to pelvic pain, psychosexual health issues, and neuroscience. Labs will be interactive and cover spine, lumbopelvic/hip complex, neurodynamics, and therapeutic techniques to integrate orthopedic, pelvic floor, and biopsychosocial approaches into the subjective and objective assessment.

Prerequisites: Pelvic Function Level 1 & Pelvic Function Level 2A

Differential Diagnosis, Concepts and Fundamental Techniques
This course presents problem-solving assessments for the major contributory nerves from the lumbar plexus in an organized, systematic fashion, and will cover extensive anatomy and differential diagnosis and objective findings for specific nerves of the lumbar plexus. It will also include 12 key lab techniques to launch your journey into manually treating the nerves of the lumbar plexus, with research-based approaches to manual nerve treatment.
