Chronic Pelvic Pain

Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP) is a defined by continuous or recurrent pain in the pelvic structures that persists for over six months. This debilitating condition is associated with negative emotions and sexual drive, lowering the quality of life of affected individuals. Because of the complex interaction between muscles, bones, and soft tissues in this region, the pathology of the disorder is not fully understood; however, there is growing evidence that CPP is caused by pain from the abdominals and pelvic floor muscles.
