I am Alysson Striner, PT, DPT, PRPC. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011, and previously attended Arizona State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Kinesiology with an emphasis on exercise science in 2006. I am certified in pelvic rehab and specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and treats adults of all genders for bowel/bladder/sexual/pain/orthopedic problems.
My special interests are in obstetric/postpartum populations, and I have a soft spot for chronic pain and trauma. I love to learn and share my knowledge. I regularly assist at local Herman and Wallace courses and am a blog contributor. I am currently participating in Somatic Experiencing training to evolve my clinical skills.
I practice in sunny Tucson, Arizona with El Rio Health on Broadway. I am passionate about empowering people, combining evidence-based practice with holistic, personalized care; helping people be grounded and embodied. I am influenced by Brene Brown, Tara Brach, and others.
In addition to providing care, I enjoy spending time with my family, time in nature, or making creative projects.
