Christy, a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner, earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi in 1995 and has practiced Occupational Therapy for almost 30 years. As a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner, she exclusively treats pelvic floor conditions and pelvic floor-related disorders. Christy is excited to continue her practice at a beautiful new location offering discreet access to her facility, delivering excellent outcomes and unmatched care. Christy is an avid learner and is passionate about staying abreast of the most recent breakthroughs and treatments as well as furthering her skills in order to provide the best care possible. She has received training in Myofascial Release, Dry Needling, Integrative Medicine, Craniosacral Therapy, and Sensory Integration. These skills have been integral in the holistic treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in women, men, and children.
She treats a variety of pelvic floor conditions including: pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, bladder and bowel and digestive dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, prostate cancer patients and many more Christy works closely with urologists, OBGYNs, gastroenterologists, family medicine doctors, midwives, doulas, and pain management physicians. She offers both pre and post-operative treatment of men with prostate cancer to improve their quality of life and restore loss of function as well as providing comprehensive care for those suffering from pelvic pain. Christy also treats women, men, and children with bowel, bladder, and pelvic floor disorders. Her passion lies in improving the quality of life of her clients while making meaningful connections to help them meet their goals. In the state of Mississippi, she is the first Occupational Therapist to hold the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification through Herman and Wallace. Christy incorporates a multifaceted approach tailored to each patient's needs by utilizing her Occupational Therapy psychological training, implementing resilience training to best treat each individual patient in a holistic manner, enabling the patient to reach their desired goals and maximum level function. Christy is also a Certified Mental Health Medical Provider (CMHIMP), Dry Needling (UDN-C), and Dry Needling for Pelvic Floor. She has served as a Teaching Assistant for Herman and Wallace. For Christy, treating pelvic floor disorders is far more than a job; it is a passion and joy to serve this unique patient population with empathy and compassion.
