Claire Agrawal, PT, DPT, PRPC (Ithaca, NY)

Claire Agrawal, PT, DPT, PRPCClaire received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 and took an early interest in pelvic and abdominal health after working with some incredible mentors in the field. She is grateful for her career experiences thus far in Maryland, Connecticut, and now New York which cumulatively have allowed her to attend a conference through the American Urogynecologic Society, collaborate with urogynecologists and pain specialists to better understand treatment options beyond physical therapy, and attend postgraduate coursework in pelvic health, oncology, and orthopedics. She earned her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification through Herman & Wallace in 2018.

Claire currently works in an outpatient setting affiliated with Cayuga Medical Center (hospital) in Ithaca, NY. She specializes in treating abdominal and pelvic floor dysfunction in men and women including but not limited to: urinary and fecal incontinence, difficulty urinating, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, pain with sex, pelvic pain (including pain related to pudendal neuralgia, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis), tailbone pain, abdominal pain, low back and sacroiliac pain, post surgical rehab (prostatectomy, hysterectomy, breast cancer surgeries, hernia surgery, and other abdominal or gynecological surgeries), diastasis rectus abdominis, pregnancy and postpartum musculoskeletal pain.

Claire is passionate about spreading awareness of pelvic physical therapy so that people consider all the treatment options available. She dreams of the day when pelvic floor and abdominal physical therapy is standard care in America after childbirth and abdominal/pelvic surgery to maximize recovery and prevent future problems.
