Luciana Cid Povoa is a highly accomplished physical therapist with extensive expertise in pelvic floor rehabilitation and osteopathy. Currently, she serves as a full-time outpatient pelvic floor physical therapist at Riverton Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Luciana earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992 and later obtained a Doctorate in Osteopathy in 2005. She also holds an academic Master’s degree in the Science of Rehabilitation, during which she published research focusing on palpatory anatomy, osteopathy, and quality of life.

Her academic career includes roles as an assistant professor in physical therapy programs and at the Brazilian Osteopath School (IBO), where she taught visceral manipulation techniques. After moving to the United States in 2017, she pursued and completed a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration in 2019.

Luciana is a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC) through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health. Through her clinical expertise, academic contributions, and dedication to advancing pelvic health and osteopathic techniques, Luciana remains committed to improving the quality of life for her patients and advancing her field.
