Meditation

Meditation is a wide spread practice that takes many forms, most of which have originated from ancient religious practices or spiritual traditions. When meditating, the practitioner is asked to become fully aware of thoughts and emotions in a non-judgmental way. Often during meditation, the individual will concentrate on thoughts of compassion or loving-kindness as a way to let go of negative emotions and to promote thoughts of well-being. Many health benefits have been associated with practicing meditation, and it has been seen to alleviate complications associated with stress, pain, anxiety, depression, and more.
