Kathe Wallace, PT, BCIA-PMDB

Kathe Wallace PT, BCB-PMD, is an internationally recognized clinician, author and innovative teacher in the field of pelvic floor rehabilitation. A physical therapist since 1976, Kathe has focused on the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction since 1988. She received the Washington state physical therapy association (PTWA) Clinical Excellence Award in 2006. She currently has a clinical practice in Seattle, Washington as well as serving as a Clinical Instructor, Division of Physical Therapy, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, at the University of Washington.

Kathe has authored chapters in Clinics in Sport Medicine, and published research on a vulvodynia functional outcome tool (known as the VQ) in the APTA Section on Women’s Health (SOWH) journal. Her most recent publication is Reviving Your Sex Life after Childbirth, written for postpartum women and the clinicians who care for them.

Kathe has developed educational materials for practitioners through Progressive Therapeutics and was a co-investigator for the development of a validated functional tool for vulvodynia.In 1990, as a pioneering practitioner with a mission to teach and train physical therapists about pelvic floor dysfunction, Kathe helped the SOWH establish their pelvic floor continuing education series and taught the courses with Holly Herman through 2005. In 2000, she developed a course for therapists seeking more information regarding external treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions (PFPG). In 2006, as a founder of Herman and Wallace Inc., she co-developed and refined the series of pelvic floor continuing education Pelvic Floor 1, 2A and 2B with Holly Herman. Since 2016, Kathe has continued to teach and develop courses independently from Herman and Wallace, Inc. through her own company, Pelvic Resources, Kathe Wallace Physical Therapy.


Allison Ariail, PT, DPT, CLT-LANA, BCB-PMD, PRPC

Allison Ariail

Allison Ariail, PT, DPT, CLT-LANA, BCB-PMD, PRPC (she/her) has been a physical therapist since 1999. She graduated with a BS in physical therapy from the University of Florida and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2007. Also in 2007, Dr. Ariail qualified as a Certified Lymphatic Therapist. She became board certified by the Lymphology Association of North America in 2011 and board-certified in Biofeedback Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance in 2012. In 2014, Allison earned her board certification as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner. Allison specializes in the treatment of the pelvic ring and back using manual therapy and ultrasound imaging for instruction in a stabilization program. She also specializes in women’s and men’s health including conditions of chronic pelvic pain, bowel and bladder disorders, and coccyx pain. Lastly, Allison has a passion to help oncology patients, particularly gynecological, urological, and head and neck cancer patients.

In 2009, Allison collaborated with the Primal Pictures team for the release of the Pelvic Floor Disorders program. Allison works in the Denver metro area in her practice, Inspire Physical Therapy and Wellness, where she works in a more holistic setting than traditional therapy clinics. In addition to instructing Herman and Wallace on pelvic floor-related topics, Allison lectures nationally on lymphedema, cancer-related changes to the pelvic floor, and the sacroiliac joint. Allison serves as a consultant to medical companies, and physicians.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her animals, reading, traveling, and most importantly of all, being a mom! She lives in the Denver metro area with her family.
