Upon completion of this continuing education seminar, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the importance of creating expectations for therapeutic interactions in pelvic health.
2. Identify situations in which inappropriate behavior on the part of the patient creates risk for the clinic and providers.
3. List and/or verbalize communication strategies to set boundaries and to reframe patient-therapist interaction when inappropriate behavior has taken place.
4. Identify patients who should be discharged from care based on inappropriate behavior and how to manage the transfer of clinical care.
