Midwifery and Women’s Health Care at Geneva Woods (MWHC) is the longest standing midwifery practice in Anchorage, AK. MWHC has provided full-scope midwifery and gynecologic services to women and their families since its inception in 1995. Our aim is to provide holistic and evidence-based care in a nurturing environment where families are educated, supported, respected, and empowered during every phase of life.
Requirements:
Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program
Valid state of Alaska licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PT.
Pelvic floor specialized training Level 1 and 2 from APTA or Herman and Wallace. Advanced training with perinatal focus preferred.
Minimum of 1+ years as a practicing physical therapist with focus in pelvic health preferred.
Familiarity with WebPT and/or Nextgen Healthfusion preferred.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Conduct thorough evaluation and assessment of women’s health conditions and pregnancy related orthopedic conditions
Develop functional and evidence based plan of care to address the patient’s individual needs with a focus on improving pelvic health and overall well-being.
Provide thorough and accurate patient education regarding their condition and treatment options
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including midwifes, nurses, mental health counselor, lactation consultants.
Stay up to date on the latest research and advancements related to women’s health rehabilitation through continuing education and research.
Understand and adhere to Alaska state practice acts and laws for physical therapy
